Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered by:

Doctors issue repeat prescriptions for long term medication and indicate when you should come for review. We give repeat medication lasting 28 days, except for the oral contraceptive pill and HRT which last three months.

If you need a repeat prescription, please give as a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. If you can give us 4 working days, that’s even better!

If you collect your medication from us, subject to necessary reviews and medication suppliers, we will always try to provide repeat medication prescriptions within 2 working days. And, we send you a text when your medication is ready for collection. You may choose to collect your medication from Pharmaself, our 24/7 dispenser, or from reception. If you are housebound, we will deliver your medication to your door.

If you use a local pharmacy, subject to necessary reviews, we will always try to provide repeat prescriptions within 2 working days. Remember, the pharmacy also need a few days to issue your drugs.

The best way to request repeat medication is online using SystmOnline. However, we also accept requests for repeat prescriptions by post or by leaving your request at reception or in our letter box. If you are housebound or aged 12 to 15 years old, you may telephone your request.
